From Marrakech Full day trip to Ouarzazate, High Atlas Mountains and UNESCO Kasbahs
The day trip to ouarzazate and unesco kasbahs from marrakech will begin with the two visits that are almost obligatory during trips to Marrakech. We will leave to take you directly to contemplate the Atlas Mountains in all their splendor, traveling along one of the highest roads in North Africa, until you reach Tichka (2660 m). We will stop at the most panoramic points to take pictures of the Berber villages that surround the mountains. Coming down from the mountains, it will be time to start enjoying the first panoramic views of the Atlas with its adobe houses. We detour to visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou from the 11th century, and its Kasbah declared a World Heritage Site and historical treasure by UNESCO. Fall in love with these cities, unique places that will not leave you speechless.
South of the High Atlas, is the legendary territory of the 1000 Moroccan kasbahs. The kashba is an ancient fortified city that was used as a room for the local cacique and as a defensive system of the territory.
For its picturesque value, between Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, also known as “the desert gate”, several well-known films have been shot such as Gladiator, the Jewel of the Nile, or Sahara.
